At Newtownards Nursery School we provide the children with an environment that is caring, stimulating and challenging.  The staff and Governors believe that each child who attends our nursery is a special person who has skills to be developed, curiosity to be encouraged, difficulties to be overcome and goals to be achieved.  All that takes place in our nursery in terms of learning and teaching, building relationships and professional development stems from the over riding factor  - the 'image of the child'.

At Newtownards Nursery we are committed to ensure the highest standards of learning and teaching for all our children.  As an 'OUTSTANDING SCHOOL' in the last ETI Inspection, March 2020, we provide a rich, stimulating and inspiring learning environment.  We believe that, rather than seeing a child as an empty vessel waiting to be filled with knowledge, there is a child with unlimited potential who  is eager to interact and contribute to the world.  We believe that observing, reflecting, assessing and documenting children's learning, successes and achievements are crucial elements of the NI Pre-School Curriculum.
